How Long To Keep Wrap On After Blood Draw

I'm such a wimp but does anyone who has a blood examination know how long you should keep the bandage on and how to take information technology off without any pain or sting at all? Is there any risk of infection is there is an open in that location?

Thanks

I do the tests actually often crusade of my basketball tests and take it off after 3 minutes max. Nothing ever happened to me.

Y'all mean like a sticking plaster? I always do it after like an hr.

Saying that, I usually just get given a piece of cotton wool wool...

Oh yeh, sorry, it is pretty much cotton wool with a sticky bit lol...cheers

I know that when I requite platelets I'grand supposed to keep the plaster on for around 4-6 hours IIRC, but that's a bigger needle. I'd give it a few hours simply to be on the safe side. As long as in that location was enough pressure put on it later on the needle went out then in that location shouldn't have been too much bleeding, and the plaster is just there as a safeguard.

Every bit to taking information technology off without whatsoever hurting or sting? Is it literally some gauze under a bandage or is it a sticky plaster? If information technology's a sticky plaster you could soak it off in the bathroom/shower. Otherwise just have off the bandage and gauze and it shouldn't hurt tbh.

The hole is so modest that the chances of infection are very slim, equally it'll start to heal over chop-chop!

I e'er just become a piece of cotton fiber to dab on information technology for a couple of minutes but information technology'southward normally gone by the time I leave and doesn't really injure anymore

The hole is and so small-scale that the chances of infection are very slim, as it'll start to heal over rapidly!
